The Healthy Habitats and Homes unit allows kindergartners to explore the environments in which they live and work as well as many animal environments (habitats). The unit addresses the needs that all living things have and the ways in which the environments in which we live ensure that these needs can be met. By exploring a variety of environments, students come to see the similarities and differences among living things, their needs, and the places in which they live.
